This T-Level in Plumbing and Heating Engineering has been developed in collaboration with employers and businesses so that the content meets the needs of industry and prepares you for work.

Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technicians are at the forefront of installing new and exciting environmental technologies, such as heat pumps, solar thermal systems, biomass boilers and water recycling systems.

You will work on appliances and equipment that can include gas, oil and solid fuel boilers as well as pumps, heat emitters, bathroom furniture or controls as part of a cold water, hot water, and central heating or above ground drainage and rainwater systems.

This two-year qualification aims to ensure you have the knowledge and skills needed to progress into highly skilled employment, an apprenticeship or higher-level study, in the specialist area of plumbing and heating engineering.

You will develop the theory and practical behind the installation of plumbing and heating systems, including taking accurate measures, marking, cutting, bending and jointing metallic and non-metallic pipework.

This Technical Qualification is intended for you if you want to progress your career in the plumbing and heating - job roles could include:
