T Level Technical Qualification in Building Services Engineering (BSE) (Level 3)- Specialist Pathway- Heating and Ventilation Engineering
Overview
The purpose of this of this course is for you to learn about and undertake fundamental plumbing work. You will have the opportunity to plan, perform and evaluate your work whilst using a range of materials, methods and techniques. You will develop your knowledge, understanding and skills of fundamental Health & Safety practices associated with carrying out design, installation, routine maintenance, reactive service, commissioning and de-commissioning of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heat Pump systems. You will learn about tools and equipment, pipework materials, installation methods and processes, systems and their purpose, plumbing science and the principles of measurement and marking out components and pipework.
The Building Services component focuses on your knowledge and understanding of contexts, concepts, theories and principles relevant to on-site construction and Building Services Engineering (BSE). The component is designed to raise your awareness of the industries and develop your knowledge of refrigeration, air conditioning or heat pumping. Whilst on your employer led work placement, you will be completing an employer set project, which a key essential part of the overall qualification.
This technical qualification focuses on the development of knowledge and skills needed for working in the Building Services Engineering industry, which will prepare you to enter the industry through employment or as an Apprentice. Furthermore, the completion of this qualification gives you the learner, the opportunity to progress onto higher education courses and training: Such as Higher National Certificates and Diplomas in Building Services Engineering.
