T Level Technical Qualification in Building Services Engineering (BSE) (Level 3)- Specialist Pathway- Electrotechnical Engineering
Overview
The purpose of this specialism is for you to know and undertake fundamental electrotechnical systems engineering processes and procedures. You will have the opportunity to plan, perform and evaluate your work whilst using a range of materials, methods and techniques. You will develop your knowledge, understanding and skills in health and safety practices associated with carrying out electrotechnical systems engineering. You will learn about installation methods and termination connections and systems and products used in electrotechnical engineering. You will also analyse and use information to and from electrotechnical systems and study the removal processes as part of system decommissioning.
This Building Services component focuses on your knowledge and understanding of contexts, concepts, theories and principles relevant to on-site construction and Building Services Engineering (BSE). The component is designed to raise your awareness of the industries and develop your knowledge. Whilst on your employer led work placement, you will be completing an employer set project, which is a key essential part of the overall qualification.
This technical qualification focuses on the development of knowledge and skills needed for working in the Building Services Engineering industry, which will prepare you to enter the industry through employment or as an Apprentice. Furthermore, the completion of this qualification gives you the learner, the opportunity to progress onto higher education courses and training: Such as Higher National Certificates and Diplomas in Building Services Engineering.
