Advanced Manufacturing Diploma (Machining) - Level 2

Overview

This course will involve a mixture of practical workshop modules and a classroom based session in CAD. You will develop an understanding of how to use and communicate technical
information and work safely in an engineering environment.

You will produce components using hand fitting techniques, prepare and use lathes for turning operations and work from engineering drawings as part of your studies. You will also gain a
additional employability skills in our STEM Centre.

You can progress onto the Level 3 T level in Manufacturing Processing and Control – Machining and Toolmaking or in Fitting Assembly technologies. You could alternatively progress to a BTEC National Certificate / Extended Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or the CG Level 3 Performing Engineering Operations Diploma in Machining.
