BTEC Level 3 Award in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Technical Knowledge)
Overview
This qualification is aimed at students who intend to follow an Intermediate Advanced Apprenticeship programme or who are considering a career in engineering that offers the chance to be part of a discipline that revolutionises the world we live in. The BTEC qualification is a level 3 designed to provide highly specialist, work-related qualifications in engineering. They give learners the knowledge, understanding and skills that they need to prepare for employment.

- Communications for Engineering Technicians 
- Mechanical Measurement and Inspection Techniques 
- Welding Technology 
- Mathematics for Engineering Technicians 
- Engineering Drawing for Technicians Engineering 
- Primary Forming Processes 
- Secondary and Finishing Techniques Welding Technology 
The qualifications provide career development opportunities for those already in work, and progression opportunities to a full Diploma and then onto higher education, degree and professional development programmes within the same or related areas of study, within universities and other institutions.
- All 16- to 19-year-olds will be offered high quality study programmes aimed at giving them the best opportunity to move into higher education or secure skilled employment. 
- All students who are able will take a substantial qualification recognised by employers as being of real benefit to them in securing work or a university place.
